Since GMS Mountaineers hold certifications in professional mountain guiding as mentioned above, they have years of training, learning to manage untrained workers throughout difficult areas all over the world. We have operated throughout North America, South America, North Africa, China, and the Middle East for the most stringent of clients.

For close to 10 years, GMS is the global industry expert in Mountain Safety leaders within the Seismic Exploration Industry. We have worked on hundreds of projects globally within the Oil and Gas Industry for Geophysical Exploration and are members of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) as well as the Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors (CAGC).

GMS offers the following services for Seismic Operations:

  • Detailed Terrain and Risk Assessments
  • Facilitated Access - People, Equipment, Infrastructure
  • Creation and Implementation of Emergency Response Plans (ERP)
  • Ground Based Rescue
  • Helicopter Long Line Rescue - HEC, HETS, CDFL
  • Field Operations:
      • Land Surveying Activities - Ability to assist or complete surveying activities. All GMS staff are experienced working with all types of recording gear, Sercel, I/O etc
      • Provide Mountain Safety Awareness Training
      • Client Representatives - Quality Control and Assurance. GMS can act as representatives for clients quality controlling and assuring operationally efficient and safe work in difficult terrain seismic
      • GMS technicians are trained in various trades that can be utilized when required onsite
