Z-pull is a term commonly used to describe a three to one (3:1) mechanical advantage system used in rope access and rope rescue. For example a Z-pull placed on a haul rope will allow a worker to lift three pounds of weight for every pound of effort he pulls on the rope (Ignoring friction.). 


A Zipline is a specially constructed high line built using an inclined tensioned steel cable. Ziplines are designed to allow the user travel from the top to the bottom of an inclined cable propelled by gravity. Users connect to the zipline with a pulley or trolley and are suspended by a harness.
