A Vector or a Euclidean Vector, is a representation of something that has both a magnitude and direction. Vectors are used routinely to describe force and direction in the engineering and design of various systems.  For example Vectors of force and direction are used in the systems analysis for Rope Access, Rope rescue, and fall protection systems to determine the forces that will be applied at a given point in the system.
