Ground Rescue

A Ground rescue is the process of locating and providing emergency care to a patient, and then safely moving that person over the ground to a location where conventional medical services can be met. Ground rescue is utilized when a CDFL or helicopter long line rescue is either unavailable or deemed unacceptable in the pre-rescue risk assessment.  Safe and efficient ground rescue in the mountain environment requires specialized equipment and extensively trained rescuers. For this reason Global Mountain Solutions  utilizes only professionally certified rescuers and provides a comprehensive training program involving regular in house recurrent mountain rescue training.

Guide line

A guide line is a tensioned line used in rope access and rope rescue to guide an object to a specified location. Differentiated from high lines by the amount of slope on the line. Guide lines are steeply sloping while high lines are more or less horizontal.
