We offer not only detailed and internationally accredited knowledge but bring invaluable Seismic, Helicopter and Industrial experience which provides the client with the most complete set of skills.
All Mountain Solutions staff are ACMG certified. The Association of Canadian Mountain Guides is seasoned association which has been training and certifying mountain guides for 40 years in Canada. It is the only comprehensive and recognized mountain travel program operating Canada and because of it's association with the IFMGA (International Federation of Mountain Guides Association) it brings skills from all over the world.
All GMS staff are required to have 80 hours of either Wilderness or Occupational First Aid and have in depth in house operational and Mountain/Helicopter training.
We are a contributing member of the ARAC (Air Rescue Association of Canada) which defines best practices for the use of Long Line Rescue in Canada.

Ben has been an Operations Manager, Guide and professional climber for more than 10 years. His experience consulting and operating mountain safety seismic crews is second to none. He has worked for clients on every continent except Antarctica. Ben's experience with both mountain travel and experience with industry gives him the unique ability to provide clients with the knowledge and understanding of both elements of operations. This in turn offers safer working conditions and more efficient operating procedures.
Ben also has 10 years of Industrial HETS (Helicopter Long Line Rescue) experience and was a member of the first industrial HETS mission back in 2002.
Ben is also a professional climber, having climbed high altitude peaks in the Himalaya, worked for documentary film makers (Discovery Channel) climbing Icebergs in Newfoundland and competed in climbing World Cup competitions. Its fair to say that Ben's life is centered around the mountains.

Sean's initial fieldwork in exploration was as a Survey Rodman in 1996. After attending Business College he pursued ACMG Mountain Guiding Certification. Sean worked in this industry, first guiding throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, while concurrently working as a Seismic Mountain Safety Operative in Canada and the Middle East. Sean is certified with the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, a motion picture safety and special effects member, and a swiftwater, air, and high angle rescue specialist.
Sean built and operated Canada Mountain Specialists Inc for 10 years until 2008. CMS provided mountain skills and leadership training, classic and institutional guiding, and program development and management. These services for wilderness and mountain based activities were utilized by private, institutional, and military clients. Sean also excelled as a professional climber, with many demanding ascents around the world completed in extreme environments.
At GMS Inc, as Managing Business Director, Sean is responsible for business development, sales, billing, and client contact.
